Kohler-Andrae State Park

Kohler-Andrae State Park is located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. It is home to sand dunes, miles of sandy beaches, clear blue water of the Great Lake, pine trees, and wildlife. The park is named after Terry Andrae and John Michael Kohler. In 1924 Terry purchased 92 acres of lakeshore property from a retired fisherman and later purchased another 30 acres. Terry and his wife, Elsbeth built a two-story house were the campground is located today. After Terry's death in 1927, Elsbeth donated the 122 acres to the State of Wisconsin where it became known as Terry Andrae State Park. In 1966, the Kohler Company of Kohler, Wsiconsin donated 280 acres as a memorial to John Michael Kohler founder of the Kohler Company in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This property was located just a tad north of Terry's Park, which resulted in the combination of both parks, now known as Kohler-Andrae State Park. The following photos are photos that I took while on visiting July 20-23.
