How do flower's get their color?

Every year when spring comes around, color pops out all over in gardens, fields, etc: But what causes the different colors in these flowers. Flower's that are colored red, pink, blue, and purple come from a pigment known as anthocyanins (anthocyanins = are in a class of chemicals called flanoids). Flowers that are bright in color are meant to attract birds, bees, and other insects in order to help them reproduce. If a plant needs to reproduce with the help of birds and bees, the genetics will make the flowers have brighter color attract animals
